Job Description

The Candidate shall evaluate shipboard services operations and facilities, conduct equipment assessments, and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality of life.
The Candidate shall provide oversight and recommendations for Supply Department equipment modernization and replacement requirements for food service galley equipment and spaces, ship store, ship laundry, self-service laundry, barbershop, and bulk storerooms. In addition, the candidate will 1) monitor and provide feedback on status of all Supply Department CSMP related jobs. Coordinate with N43 and Ships Maintenance Program Manager to ensure all Supply CSMP Jobs are scheduled for upcoming Ships Maintenance Availability 6/12/18 months out. Provide oversight of supply modernization program to include submitting SCD and approved SCD Fielding Plans. Validate ship’s supply equipment configuration requirements.
- Provide weekly status of progress of active supply maintenance jobs.
- Provide status on all SCDs and modernization projects.
- Provide assistance to the Supply Officer during the Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) cycle.
- Conduct on-board visits to validate and report progress on supply related maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization jobs.
- Provide input and recommendation on food service and laundry equipment as outlined in the Navy’s Afloat Shipboard approved catalog.
The candidate shall review and recommend manpower/personnel and training requirements.
- Provide training to Navy shipboard personnel on Food Service, Disbursing and Postal operations and procedures. The candidate shall conduct SMIs and SMAs of shipboard services operations for aircraft carriers as identified.
- Prepare reports and submit results, with recommendations for improvements, for all inspections and assessments conducted. Reports will be provided to the CNAF Services Officer.
- Participate and provide technical analysis regarding future technology initiatives related to shipboard services operations. Review, analyze and determine LCM capabilities for the following installed shipboard systems – UMIDS, DDS, WINIATS, ATM, provide training for all CNAF aircraft carriers utilizing these systems.
The candidate will assist with implementation, monitoring, and training requirements associated with the DDS for all CNAF aircraft carriers.
Provide qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring shipboard supply services effectiveness. Perform independent analysis of shipboard services operations, cost-wise readiness, and initiatives that have or will affect supported activities. Analyze barriers and problems and provide recommendations to eliminate or mitigate obstacles and improve overall effectiveness and shipboard quality of life.
The candidate will attend meetings to collect information; review, validate and provide analysis of processes and data; prepare draft reports, briefs, and presentations; and conduct product demonstrations of shipboard services equipment or procedures as specified by the COR or PM.
- Develop, analyze, conduct operational audits, and prepare follow-up reports evaluating effectiveness of systems implementations. Determine user training needs for software and related AIS.
- The candidate will conduct training for new and existing supply services systems and programs to aircraft carrier. Develop a performance metrics tracking report, to compile data received, and ascertain health of services readiness operations on aircraft carriers.
Conduct studies, review findings, make recommendations for improved operating procedures and policies concerning current and future shipboard services operations and program initiatives.
Must be willing to travel.
Salary: $82,000.00 per year
